Our Promise

Are we selling your information?

Absolutely not.

We don't sell, rent, share, trade, or monetize your data in any way. We never have and we never will. Our business model is simple: you pay for a subscription, and we protect your privacy.

Our business model is your subscription — nothing else

Subscription Revenue

100% of our revenue comes from paid Premium subscriptions. No ads, no data deals, no hidden monetization.

Zero Advertising

We have no ad network, no tracking pixels, no behavioral profiling. We don't know what you buy, browse, or care about.

Zero Data Sharing

We don't share data with third parties, partners, affiliates, or anyone. Your data stays in our encrypted database — period.

What data do we actually collect?

We believe in minimal data collection. Here's the complete, exhaustive list of what we store:

Account Information

  • Your email address (for login and forwarding)
  • Account creation date
  • Subscription plan type

This is the minimum needed to operate your account.

Alias Metadata

  • Alias addresses you've created
  • Labels you've assigned to aliases
  • Active/disabled status
  • Alias-to-destination mapping (AES-256 encrypted)

Alias mappings are encrypted. We can't read them in plaintext.

Email Delivery Logs

  • Sender email address
  • Delivery timestamp
  • Status (delivered, bounced, blocked)

We never log subject lines, email bodies, or attachments.

Billing Data

  • Stripe customer ID
  • Subscription status

All payment processing happens through Stripe. We never see your credit card number.

Why free email services sell your data

If you're not paying for a product, you are the product. Free email services like Gmail, Yahoo Mail, and Outlook.com generate revenue by scanning your emails and selling targeted advertising. Here's how the economics work:

1

They scan your emails

Automated systems read every email to extract purchase receipts, travel plans, subscriptions, and interests.

2

They build a profile on you

Your email data is combined with search history, location data, and browsing behavior to create a detailed advertising profile.

3

They sell access to advertisers

Advertisers pay to show you targeted ads based on what's in your inbox. Your private conversations fund their business.

EmailAlias breaks this cycle. We charge a fair subscription price so we never need to monetize your data. Your privacy isn't a trade-off — it's our product.

Our Privacy Pledge

We will never sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third party.

We will never scan, read, or analyze the content of your emails.

We will never use your data for advertising, profiling, or AI training.

We will always be transparent about exactly what data we collect and why.

We will always give you the ability to export or delete all of your data.

We will publish annual transparency reports detailing any government requests received.

Privacy you can trust

Stop being the product. Switch to an email service that makes money from subscriptions, not surveillance.
